You can't judge a book by its cover but it's worth saying you can judge a lot about Martine from this cover: she deeply loves her wife and family, and tends towards the most ambitious yet unpolished expressions of techno-progressive aesthetics. I first learned about her from the "Terrasem Movement", a play on Octavia Butler's "Earthseed" with an excitedly transhumanist flair. It's all a bit rough. But I vibe with it.

It's genuinely sweet to see a white person who uncomplicatedly and unreservedly loves black people the way Martine does. I think this more than anything displays her philosophy; she sees human difference not as creating some unbridgeable ontological/epistemic divide, but as something that can be understood through reason, and overcome through love. That alone is beautiful enough for me.
