The author HAMMERED the importance of living in LA. If you don't live there, "you are not serious about a writing career." I enjoyed living in LA and I/we are open to moving, but it HAS to make logical sense. I have to get PAID prior to moving to prove that this can be a viable career to support my family. I can fly in, skype, conference call, etc. Not being there doesn't mean I'm not extremely serious about writing.
