as someone who has read quite a few biographies of elizabeth taylor + considers herself a fan, i was looking forward to reading this because of the new sources in it

to some extent, it does live up to that - her private letters and notes which haven’t been published before. but at the moment i’m feeling a bit mixed about it- sometimes it doesn’t feel as critical as it should be + not a fan of the writing
