One thing I keep noticing in this novel is the interchangeable use of the terms "lolita" and "loli" which has me a little unnerved. I think it's because this was published in 2008 and I vaguely remember those terms being used like that on the internet. But now, 15 years later, they're their own distinct terms with completely different connotations.
