I try not to get too hung up on historical inaccuracies with these books, but sometimes they're hard not to notice. Emma says she was given a teddy bear at three years old, which would have been about 17 years before its actual invention in both Germany and the US.

Yup. :/ Out of the several I later tried again after disliking it initially, only 2 were actually my mood/taste at the time. The rest were the books being lame.
