I did not care for the narrator, at first, but I have learned to appreciate his style over time and now I'm grateful that I didn't modify the playback speed to be faster.

Story also starts off a little fantasy trope-ish, but gets more engaging as the tale progresses. Now that I'm almost finished with Chapter 4 I'm quite invested in the main character. I didn't actually know who the main character was going to be!
