Chapter 10 took this up to a whole new level. Introduction to a new character via a point of view mythic chapter that had heart and horror.
The post script also forshadows some more meta integration of the author and main character. I'm quite impressed.

WOW! that's got to be one of the most unique reveals I can think of. A running meta-conversation given in snippets at the beginning of each chapter. Can't say more without spoiling but wow! Really cool

Very cool. The concept of the narrative is revealed here: the main character cannot lie therefore writing is difficult because there aren't enough words to express things perfectly, too much like lying. So the author is her friend who is interpreting her story for her, and the beginning of each chapter is a conversation between the two.
