Once again a fantastic blend of fantasy and real myth and history. I am fascinated that gods in their own right are mere mortals here, and are just as mesmerised by the gods as you or i would be. We know what they will become but i know nothing about how they get there and i LOVE it that way. Such wonderful atmosphere

Fantastic. Larkin really is evoking the epics of old. Whilst not character driven, these are compelling characters. There are really awesome moments in this. Funny I'm 22% into book 1 but only 2% of the audio. Having a total hoot with this one

Funny, I'm actually 12% into book 1 but its a 90hr audio lol. Loving it. Its not norse inspired, it feels just like the norse myths themselves. Definitely hooked. So far Sigyn is my fave character. I love the feel of the world with gods and monsters walking amongst men.

A fascinating start. Matt's use of fire which permeates the opening has me deeply intrigued. Odin is completely different from what little i thought i knew. He's not a good man at the start. He's firery with a passion for vengeance. This is gonna be a joy i think
