I would enjoy this book more if it were strictly about Lise. her sections are my favorite to read, anna and pauline are not that interesting. I just started Hopes section and she’s annoying

this book is tiring. i’m not a fan of jumping back and forth between multiple storylines, even in movies i’ve always hated it. and each storyline in this book is about abuse or a woman who “isn’t in her right mind” like?? wtf

there are just way too many storylines and i don’t fully care about most of the characters

I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. I definitely hate Mor and the mental hospital and the whole idea of a “melancholy housewife from the 40s” or whatever but I think I like Lise. I hope she blows up Mor’s life. But truly it’s been infuriating to read, Mor is a narcissist and won’t let Lise be happy or have her own success.
