I hate the characters in this book. Yet I’m still reading it, so that has to mean something. I think I hate them because they’re real? I mean when you put aside the privileged “I’m so rich and sad in this French villa with my cakes and wine” aspect of almost all of them. I relate to certain parts of them. I’ve come to the conclusion that I like that I don’t like them.
