I enjoyed the author's writing style in this book, but overall found it depressing and sad. Protagonist was a woman facing middle age, who lives in England at home with her very demanding housebound mother. She is a journalist investigating a fairly incredulous story of a woman who claims her pregnancy was spontaneous like a virgin birth. Would not recommend.
