Read “The Seed from the Sepulchre” by Clark Ashton Smith, whom I’ve not read anything by prior to this. However, like with O. Henry, I feel inclined to read more of his stories in the future.

Read “Alone in Shark Waters” by John Kruse, a writer I have not even heard of before. It is, however, a really good story, with well structured build up. I really need to check out Kruse more.

Read O. Henry’s “The Caballero’s Way”. It’s the first story by O. Henry that I’ve read, and I found it enjoyable enough to be on the lookout for some more.

Read Jack London’s “To Build a Fire”. I was familiar with the story from a (very good) comics adaptation by Chabouté, and the original short story by London did not disappoint.

Read Richard Connell’s “The Most Dangerous Game”. It’s an interesting short story, and Connell manages the build up of tension in the narrative well.
