It’s a hard read. Beautiful descriptions articulate the tragic lives of Syrians. I think as new tragedies arise closer to our borders…our consciousness of those distant happenings fade from our memories. I am reminded of the wreckage from a boat carrying refugees to Sicily in a church we visited… all the horrible pictures and stories remembered… but we forget again without the reminders of from the press.
