What a terrific debut novel. I really enjoyed the insights into Singapore’s high society and the rags to riches, Pygmalion-like story of Sam! I loved her “fake it til you make it” attitude and how she was able to create a highly covetable “brand” from nothing.

Fast paced story that got bogged down a little with so many events, but I really loved the ending.
