I just finished Unexpected Stories and gave it 3 stars. This brilliant vintage, never-before-published science-fiction by Octavia Butler may not live up to the genius of her longer works, but its conceptual and intellectual quality is quickly apparent. Great reads that make you want to return to her seminal writings.
