This book felt like a little piece of home. Especially as a child of Jamaican immigrants that went to England in the 50’s and to America in the late 70’s. The title alone brought a smile to my face with memories of weddings and black cake with marzipan and stiff frosting being served.

Advice: definitely LISTEN to the book - don’t read it. The actress does a great job with an accent.
