When your teen says some thing extreme, you may be upset, but try not to amplify the teens fears by showing your own anxiety. Instead remain as calm as possible, and show interest in the teams feelings, asking questions about the situation or for details.

Make sure that conversations focused on parents agenda. Do not outnumber conversations seeking understanding or opportunities for the team to be the teacher or leave the conversation.
