The after section of the book is way more entertaining to me than the before section of the book

I’m intrigued to know what happens in the after section.
However, I can’t lie, this book is written so pretentious to the point where half the things Alaska is saying don’t make sense. I understand she’s written like a MPDG but come on😩😩It’s giving intense Catcher in the Rye vibes

The writing style is something that I could have written for my GCSE English lang exam; however, that might explain why I’m reading it so fast because it feels like something I could’ve written😭😭
Also could John Green at least have made these characters 18, like I know it’s through the eyes Miles but all I can picture is John Green writing about (I’m assuming) a 16 year old girl objectively😨
