I'm shocked at myself for starting this text, even more shocked that I'm enjoying it. My takeaways so far:
1. The four basic victim positions Atwood posits can easily be extended beyond CanLit.
2. It's really opened my eyes to see how much environment and fear of nature can inform literature. Tested it out by thumbing through Pierre Berton's The Great Lakes, and lo, multiple references to big scary lakes.
