In terms of literature, it is not a great read. However, this book, as it is the Shah’s final words written in exile, provides many valuable information from his point of view. Although his writing sometimes turns to rants and complains as it was not him in charge of the situation, but in many cases provides a frank perspective of the events as he was experiencing them. In conclusion, I recommend reading it.

The book started to be more and more like a report of the events from one person point of view. There some good information and some confirming the accounts other witnesses reported.

The event of 1953 is mostly skewed.

Contains many good information l, specially what he thought of himself and his relationships with neighbouring countries and world leaders. However, often you feel like he is ranting about many things that didn’t go the way he was expecting without taking personal responsibility. But, as a history enthusiast, I think it worths reading.
