Though this academic book does talk about videogames in addition to theatrical plays and common games namely chess, cards, and backgammon, I can't help but to wonder where boardgames, tabletop, and live action role playing games fit into Gina Bloom's larger discussion about the connection between these genres of interactive entertainment.

Maybe it's because I'm listening to the audiobook but it feels like I'm not retaining much info from this academic text. It could also be because theater was not what I studied in uni.
That being said, I still find the subject matter very fascinating and does have me thinking about boardgames and videogames in a different way!

A little dense but incredibly fascinating thus far! Been listening to the audiobook to help me fall asleep.
