I don’t know why I keep reading this book since it’s essentially about pedophilia, the commodification of women and girls, misogyny, male privilege and entitlement. I keep thinking it might redeem itself but it won’t. It can’t. It’s pretty gross actually.
As a metaphor for old age and the appreciation and adoration of youth it’s hittin some stupidly low and revolting reference points.
