Robert Strupp
is finished
As you know, I don't enjoy long, drawn out endings, but this ending seemed rushed and, in my mind, left a lot of questions. Still, a very good SyFy adventure.

Turns out I read this book back in 2006 when it came via my (Book-of-the-Month-Club disguised) Zooba .com subscription. Since it's a 'bed-time' book I know it would have been a much better read in larger chunks. I enjoy the chances that author Marusek takes with his predictions of future inventions and social conditions. So few SyFy authors take as many leaps as he has in this now 17 year old title.

Published in 2005, 18 years ago for you Common Core Math majors, author Marusek takes some pretty incredible leaps into what the future might hold. So tired of SyFy novels with bland guesses into what 2100 might hold.

A utopian Earth 2092. Problem is, with the given age of almost 200 years old, the protagonist Samson Harger would have had to be born around 1945, which doesn't make sense in the real world. He would've been 75 in 2020 when there was nothing available to drastically extend life.
