P151 - seems to be celebrating lechery: "there was intense speculation about who would succeed in dating [17 year old] Uma [Thurman], and she sailed serenely through it all, effortlessly resisting the drunken lurches of the rather wonderful Oliver Reed."

P145 guess I spoke too soon: "we are joined by... an attractive blond lady with an adorable accent." I suppose we shouldn't judge by today's standards, but it's pretty jarring.

The sexism has thankfully gone, though he does keep making sexual comments. I thought he was a bit of a dick for a while, but he's redeemed himself with some sound thinking. The passage about his mother dying was very moving. It's a bit long though (oo-er). I'll probably tire long before the conclusion. of the tour.

There was a refreshing lack of sexism in that section. Though lots of sexual comments anyway.

"Jen is looking cute in her pink tracksuit."

Wow, he just mentioned a woman without commenting on her appearance. Presumably he didn't find her attractive.

"[Bill Murray] has such a lived in face, and how rare it is to see a decent wrinkle in screen." I wonder where he feels the same way when it's a woman.

"I threaten her instead that she is going to be punished by being lightly rubbed in oil and spanked with feathers."

Not as funny as Eric Idle thinks it is. And surprisingly sexist. All the women are referred to as sexy foxes - especially the customs workers. It was only 2005, but how things have changed.
