Oh god... I can't explain how I feel. There is something I learned from here but it's not that much... I just skim through most of the time.

I'm not trying to downplay this book here. Honestly I found a lot of mind-opening ideas from it. However, it just stops there. A collection of developing ideas. I think you will learn more about productivity, how to improve your system from books like Deep Work, which is the best so far I have read.

On page 13, the author said everything worth doing was worth doing well. That success in productivity could easily translate to success in other areas.

I don't agree with this. I think the end goal needs to be considered before putting all effort.There are many mundane things in life that we need to do to get by. We don't have enough time to give such tasks all our effort.

Good enough is a thing.

Okay this is like reading the author's journaling... I don't like it.

I read enough productivity stuff by now to find the first blog cliche...

A quick skim and I understand what the author meant by writing for himself. These are lessons he got from years of practicing what he found useful. It's indeed true that writing is not the result of thinking but thinking itself.
