The content is interesting, but the style of writing (smart arsery typical of junk TV) quickly wears thin. Thankfully Turse moved beyond this in his excellent re - examination of American Atrocities during the Vietnam War ("Kill Anything That Moves") - though if I'd read "The Complex" first I might never have read that.

A bit on the trashy side for Turse, this also reads like a collection of short articles rather than a complete work. Bit dissapointing after his "Kill Everything That Moves".
