Kimber, I was reading a book over 1000 pages when I was in my late teen/early twenties. It was a non-fiction book of letters written w/n this one family pre, during, and post Civil War. I think I got to around 550. Title is Children of Pride, A True Story of Georgia and the Civil War edited by Robert Manson Myers. The copyright date is 1972. I was 21/22. I still have it in my library in case I want to pick it up again. Who knows? Maybe! Good luck!
