The injured Broke is his country's hero, worth his weight in gold and other accolades. He finally turns down another opportunity to police the seas in search of Rogers, choosing instead to spend time at home with his family and to better recover. The Americans have launched into denial about Broke's success and their own little league standing in face of the powerful British Navy.

The British have finally captured the prized President. Defending Canada is more important to them than fighting for interests in America. Trouble in the West Indies with revolting slaves is a priority for the government and plantation owners.

Rogers still eluding British using the fog of war and the opponent's need for maintenance and scheduling of ship. Boston Bay features a lot and Salem in focus. The importance of the West Indies can't be overstated. French frigates are damaging British trade.

The only black man aboard the Chesapeake was blamed for not blowing his bugle with enough vibrancy to win the battle. He was lashed and deprived of his wages. Made me think about "Black Lives Matter" in these times of progress. There's money to be made in wars. Not much has changed there too.

A swift, decisive and brutal account of the battle between the Chesapeake and Shannon, leaving both ships and personnel awash with blood splintered bones on decks.

Lovers and spouses are left on the Boston Lighthouse before the Chesapeake fires a belated response and raises a white flag reading: "Free Trade and Sailor's Rights". With tide ebbing and strategies set out at sea, prepared for battle both ships close.

1813, Broke sails to Boston to extend the economic blockade, encountering terrible weather when his ship, Shannon, needs a serious refit. He dispatches a challenge to Commander Lawrence of the Chesapeake which Lawrence never receives.

Rogers is giving the British headaches with his attacks and escapes, especially Broke. Delaware, NY and Boston shutdown.

War on the Great Lakes, necessitates shipbuilding. The Americans get a little lucky before losing a slim advantage again.
