This scene breaks my heart as if the alternate reality of what could have happened is a beloved character who dies when they pull away. I cry every time.

In that moment, Blue was a little in love with all of them. Their magic. Their quest. Their awfulness and strangeness. Her raven boys.

This sounds bad, but I have so many mixed feelings about the Gray Man. Objectively, is he a bad guy? Yes. Does Stiefvater make two dimensional bad guys? Also yes. Am I known for having a soft spot for two dimensional bad guys? 1000% yes. Is this a problem? Debatable.
