Hmm. Depending on how the meetings are set up, the "guest speaker" idea could draw a lot on interested faculty members.

I like the book exchange idea, and it could work well with some of our donated fiction books. It would probably work best with a group already known to be more adventurous with their reading, though.

I'm not planning on reading this through from start to finish, just reading portions that seem like they might be useful for my eventual goal of proposing a book club for my library (in that mythical future when we aren't understaffed by 50%). It's meant for teachers with younger book clubbers than I'd be aiming for, but I'll take any ideas I can get.
