The Difference One Duke Makes by Elizabeth Essex - 2.5 stars: the writing was weird, it tried too much, was too complicated. It made a simple story complicated and way too long. There was no epilogue either.

Duke in Winter by Alyssa Alexander - 4 stars: very well executed novella. Sort of abrupt, open-ended, ending though. I like more closure to my romances.
