I couldn't finish the book in time. I must wait another month to get my hands on it at the local library coz of the long queue of other eager readers. I thought of purchasing it (39 EUR), but again, it's so specific I don't think I will need to re-read it in the future.

I got the book from a library again (it cost 39 EUR in bookstores). What can I say? I remember nothing from the previous pages :( It's a history of who burnt, killed, looted, and besieged what Estonian castle/city/settlement. Now I'm on the year 1565, with Polish, Swedish, and Danish kings fighting over some parts of today's Estonia while Russians are building fortifications in others.

Slowly-slowly going through the book since Estonian is my third, not the second language

It's not an entertaining read, more like a scholarly book. 'The Chronicle of Livonia Province' was written in the 16th century by a Tallinn priest (of German origin) and describes, with all pecularities of the language of that time, the story of conquest, Christianization, and wars in Livonia (present day Estonia, Latvia, and half of Lithuania) starting from the 12th century.

I got to the Jüriöö uprising in 1343.
