Quite a thought-provoking read really, although I have a nagging sense of incompletion or huge blindspots in the arguments just out of reach. Probably better to read as fuel for a book club or discussion group than just solo. I’ll try to come back and read this again in a year.

First section is a reprint of a popular article connecting attachment styles to male behaviour and abuse towards women. This all seems quite obvious though it feels a bit thin and superficial to read. The article closes with a call to action - for men to work together on understanding and healing their attachment wounds and learning to embody vaguely-stated ideals of ‘nurturance culture’. Very thin so far…

Seems like the usual sort of idealistic intersectional sentiment so far. Only read the intro yet - what follows should put some meat on the bones. I hope it gets into some difficult edge cases and practical examples - really hoping it’s not just a restatement of the usual intersectional/privilege/colonialism/etc arguments cause they feel well-trodden by now.
