Charming and disturbing simultaneously. It is a great local story set against the backdrop of my academic stomping grounds in the 30s but it's also meshes with the terrifying growth happening in Berlin, and indeed across Germany, around Hitler, his regime, and the terror that would soon be unleashed..Everything is Very descriptive, I'm certainly developing a newfound appreciation for competitive rowing as well!
