I’m a third of the way through and I’ve lost track of the generations at this point. I’m so bewildered. Whole civilizations have dug up new minerals and adapted them to tools of war and agriculture while I’ve been trying to make sense of this town where no one dies (except some people have died? Or will die soon? There’s a lot of time skips.)
