Like most of the truly classic works, Pryzwara is actually much more readable than his reputation and especially the introduction made him out to be. His prose has the logical, systematic progression of Aquinas but somehow feels more free. The structural integrity of a traditional sonnet with not so much musicality as lucidity. Also he’s doing meta-metaphysics and summing up all of philosophy in like 40 pages.

Okay so the essays after Original Structure don’t feel as magical but there’s some good stuff and I’m reading a lot faster. Kind of skimming because some of it feels unrelated to what I’m interested in. I think basing entire arguments off of etymologies might be one of the things I find least convincing in philosophers.

DBH & Letz Intro is really doing a lot. At the same time I’m getting intimidated by what is being made out to be an arcane tome that only archmages can divine meaning from.
