More fascinating details such as Syd Mead's concept drawings of trucks with wheels on legs inspired the AT-AT and AT-ST walkers for "Empire". More recycled universe: original Stormtrooper and Tie Fight pilot parts were recycled to make the AT-AT driver outfits and helmets, even parts were used for the bounty hunter Dengar. Regular Stormtroopers from SW IV were repaired, slightly upgraded or new outfits rushed out.

Some light reading for me, for a change. It's perfect for the Star Wars movies history geek such as myself. George Lucas' early Star Wars stories, Ralph McQuarrie's art, costume design and production. Sneak peak of Star Wars at 1976 comic conventions across the U.S., and Kenner toy development. Great photos inserted - many are full color. Also, art imitates life - the recycled universe began with Sand troopers gear.
