Bland and uninspiring. Although this book did pick up a bit in the last third it was too little, too late. It’s a two from me.

There is no atmosphere to this book. Whilst the characters have been in California and are in New York I haven’t been transported there as a reader.

I am not connecting with the MCs and I don’t think they have romantic chemistry. As friends maybe but nothing more.

I’m not enjoying this much. It’s all too… superficial(?) I don’t know, maybe it’s me. In a bit of a huff now.😕
