And other historians have found that this is incorrect terminology and not useful.

Interesting and informative. Seems to require more than a basic 101 knowledge of some terminology that is used but not defined.

Surprised to see two textual errors (a word omitted and a word printed twice) within the first few pages of a fairly recent John Hopkins University Press volume.
