Love that Sheila is getting her comeuppance, it's about time 👏🏽 Khalid should've gotten her fired and sued too.

Why are we allowing that gargoyle Amir to give Khalid a makeover......... besides he's wearing a thobe, it ain't that deep. He didn't need to change his clothes to fight off racism and Islamophobia when it'll be present anyway.

Is this some middle grade nonsense??? Seriously what is this book, it's actually driving me insane. There are some great moments but then there's utter NONSENSE. Khalid has absolutely nothing in common with this group of LOSERS who are beyond immature and lack any faith whatsoever so explain to me why on earth he would hang out with them??? Is he principled or not?

I'm sorry, some of the dialogue and actions of the characters in this book are just unrealistic! Ain't no way Hafsa openly disrespects Ayesha in front of new people she just met without any repercussions. Why would Ayesha feel so indebted to Hafsa if she's randomly nasty to her like this when they've been close in the beginning of the book?? And Khalid who is by the book is suddenly smoking? STOP IT 😂

Amir is such a sleazy one dimensional airhead. They couldn't write a decent friend for Khalid to confide in??

I love this story but the clunky writing keeps taking me out of rhythm. Like on this page, Khalid and Nana are having a conversation and Nana keeps saying "you didn't answer my question" or "but the question remains" and he never asked the question that's being referenced, it's driving me NUTS!
