The same thing over and over again. Give a brief history of the town and the building, then rattle on, continuously and with the exact same description, about how people haven ward "disembodied footsteps" and experienced "cold or warm spots". Apart from the Mississippi angle, this book is pretty damned boring.

I specifically ordered this book online because it focusses on two things I am interested in. "Ghosts" and "the Deep South" (the latter to an extent, anyway). But every single account in this book is exactly the same. "Disembodied footsteps" ... "knockings on the wall". This is like a beginner's guide to ghosts hauntings. It is very disappointing so far.
