After powering through it for a while I'm finding I have to read it in real small chunks now. Jesus. Almost past the actual 'death marches' sections and up to the trials though, and glad I'm past the most graphic sections of the book.

I forgot how much Paul Ham loves to ramble and go off on tangents stuffed full of statistics. As always, it's clear he does a lot of research and it's incredibly interesting, although he doesn't really make an effort to clarify who people are and why they matter.
