I will never understand the appeal of "alpha males" in books that claim ownership of women after having sex once. That is a red flag Charlotte RUN. Side note: What is with the obsession of saying my boss this and my boss that? It seems redundant that we know he's your boss it's creepy to refer to him as such in any sexual situation. Honestly, the appeal for Avery is nonexistent to me. Duchess as a nickname *vomit*.

I hate how the author is just dropping that Charlotte had gotten pregnant with her previous love affair. Twice now with absolutely zero context to it and then it's never mentioned again? Surely something that has caused the character trauma should actually be developed and not just thrown in as a spare plot point.
