“In Biolace, Collet proposes to use synthetic biology as an engineering technology to reprogram plants into multipurpose factories.”

Just creating mock-ups for things we read in sci-du books.

Not sure if the book is going to get there, but what space is left for critical design after crypto and AI have so thoroughly flooded the zone with bullshit?

Good luck making a critical non optimal design project between all the scams and rug pulls.

The early examples of critical design are incredibly navel gazing.

The more recent examples are in retrospect extremely bare. Most of these are just people making something random up and producing some nice pictures of it for an exhibition. This is inconsequential and art more than it is design.

Kars Ik vond z’n papers best taai.
