Burning right through it! :)

I read this one a long time ago, but see it from a different perspective now. I have become interested in arguments for the value of long form products written by an author or authors writing collaboratively. It is interesting to read this now almost as an historical artifact with the authoring seeming to assume at several points digital was about access and you would likely print what you accessed to read.

Written in 2009, it's going to be an interesting study of reading practices for future historians given that one of the foremost intellectual historians on books/reading wrote it at the border of print and electronic formats.... Its been on my list for a while but keeps being moved off by more pressing needs sadly, including a few of Darnton's other works.
