I like Melissa — as a character — in real life I would go out of my way to avoid her though. I've known people like her, and I don't feel comfortable around them. There's one important thing I think she has in common with Robbie — neither of them tolerate bullshit. I think that's a big part of why Georgie's attracted to them, even though he may not realize it.

Ted! Ted is a black hole! I want to know something about him, anything, even if it's only so I can dislike him.

Like you, I find this series more painful than TOTI. For me part of the reason is that even though I got invested in their story, I couldn't personally identify with either Mike or Liam. But Robbie — sometimes he feels like my kindred spirit. Even though I often want to yell at him, "Would you just shut up and listen for once in your life!" 😂 He's not so good at that listening thing. Thank you for your help/Therapy I am just about done with the Caps ARC (view spoiler)[ wow so you don’t want them together ?for me That’s what makes it so heartbreaking- the pain of them. Separated. Yes to TOTI, I loved it beyond, but Robbie is so real. He reminds me of my youngest son so much. He has so much heart, wears it on his sleeve, you love him or he can rub you the wrong way, he was not physically grifted his position but he classed his way there - no one tells him he can’t do something - offensive, abrasive uncontrollable

Ted - you nailed it who the hell is he? Melissa ….. I can’t stand her, possibly because she is not Robbie, but no one is that chill, I didn’t like that story where she judged Robbie that he wasn’t good looking enough for Georgie. I just don’t feel the chemistry between them no spark. Like an old people

I have no idea where she is taking this I remember a SOTM some time ago about Georgie and his kids so….?

I'm not updating here to avoid bumping my reviews too many times. I don't like that. 🥴 And Evelyn is the MC of my current read, which is on hold because of my BR. :-) The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

I don't want them back together, because (view spoiler)[ what Georgie did to Robbie was unforgivable. I'm not saying that cheating's unforgivable, it depends on the people involved and how they choose to handle it. But specifically, what GEORGIE did to ROBBIE at that point in their lives, was, to me, not forgivable. I don't want to see Robbie forgive, it would damage something in him to do that, it would crush him. it would make him less than who he is now. And the deeper truth of it is, Robbie would have to forgive himself first — for believing that he mattered to Georgie, for believing he was special, for believing that with HIM Georgie would behave differently. Robbie HATES his gullible former self, way more than he's ever hated Georgie, and that would have to heal before he could reunite with Georgie without diminishing himself and his self-respect.

Now, WE know Georgie did love (and still loves) him, but Robbie is stuck in the betrayal response phase. IRL, I'd said it was time to chalk it up as a learning experience and move on. Move on, move on, move on. And that's the pain of it for me. They were the exact right people for each other, but they were too young. Too young, too immature, too inexperienced. So they lost each other. Forever. 😭 However, this is fiction, and Taylor can do magic, so I'm keeping as open a mind as I can. Which is not very! But we shall see. (hide spoiler)]
