i get it though—tessa’s books are lowkey a guilty pleasure for me 💀

I truly felt like I could’ve taken a sharpie to more than half of the paragraphs and gotten to the story and characters faster! The writing felt like she didn’t trust the readers to pick up on cues so it’s constantly being reminded the same things- I get it they’re not supposed to have these thoughts for each other stop reminding me every other sentence!!! And he’s hurt once in college and then becomes a womanizer and I’m supposed to feel bad for him and think it’s sweet she’s his free therapist?? There was potential but I kept getting so frustrated 😭😭😭😭
