Status Update

Kyle is 36% done

I was introduced to this book by the pastor of a local church. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was available in ebook via my local public library - on Hoopla. I finished the first two chapters. I've been enjoying the author's approachable and conversational writing style, such as in her reflections of early childhood memories of representations of Jesus Christ and providing relatable context for the Psalms

I'm greatly enjoying the lessons in this one. It's conversational & accessible but much more than a self help book where a book may center around the author. It's helped me place many things in perspective, such as what has more of a chance of blessing us, our personal agendas or God's plan? Left to my own devices, I tend to think I can pave my own way or solve everything. When things don't go well then doom & gloom.
