The second story, "Echo the Echo" by Rich Larson, was incredible. The dialogue and character work was surprisingly deep for a 15-page story. The connection the MC makes with his grandma and with his date are beautiful because of the fleeting nature of things. We get to see two really interesting technology advances that have a huge impact on the story and feel vital to the story. Masterful.

The first story, "Invisible People," was dry, lifeless, and rushed. The portrayal of a gender-fluid person was a nice gesture but not done well--the author contradicts herself constantly with the character and either doesn't understand gender fluidity or is portraying it in a way I've never seen it expressed. The story reads like a list, and not a narrative. I'm going to skip the profile on Nancy Kress because IDC.
