Here’s the thing. I LOVE British murder mysteries in this vein. I even love Elly G’s writing! I think she’s brilliant.
However, this is book #7 and our protagonist Ruth…STILL loathes herself. She hasn’t grown much as a person and it’s depressing. I like her - but I don’t think I could be her friend if this were real life (yes, I know it’s not, that’s not the point). It’s so disappointing.
